Finally! I had a much harder time getting this wireless to work than on an older laptop with a PCMCIA card, but it finally works! In the end I think I just had the wrong driver installed to start. I found the right one at the NDISWrapper wiki. You just type lspci, find the wireless info, and search for it on that page. Then follow the instructions in this Ubuntu forum post. I’m sure this whole wireless thing will get easier in Linux soon. It had better anyway.
